Here Comes the Sun

Happy Solstice!

I'm aware this time of year is rich with significance reflected by many historical traditions. Mental images of Stonehenge and ceremonial fires inspire my imagination, enhancing my connection to the season and otherwise predictable Christmas rituals. It feels natural to welcome the rebirth of the sun and all the new beginnings that are emerging in my life.

The Lionheart Coaching website is finally finished. Officially, that will mean doors are open for my new business, although I have been coaching for many years now. This culmination of efforts is both exciting and anxiety-producing. I still feel overwhelmed by the world of social media marketing and determining how to promote myself authentically. Yet, I'm excited by the foundations of the business coming together, and I feel passionate about the work. I'm also impassioned by the significance of identity in coaching and addressing social problems.

Until recently, cautious optimism about this stage of Covid evolution helped me move forward, knowing it would be premature to view circumstances as "post-pandemic." If I'm honest with myself, there is no more certainty now than before Covid's arrival and today's reality has no shortage of global crises. Despite the uncertainty, it is January 1st, 2023, as I write this, and it's the first time I feel like there is a clean slate in terms of what the future holds. I believe in the power of honouring new beginnings and embracing the rebirth of the sun. Sometimes this is all we need to harness the seeds of self-discovery and transformation.
